Crochet is actualy very simple. The only complication is the different terms for UK and US for stitches.

I have two bed throws I made in crochet out of what they used to call 'health vest cotton'. It is easy SB. These were an open flower type pattern and I died some sheets gold to show underneath them - they looked good. No single beds now though.
